Very good idea and has a very fun story. One feedback that I would like to throw in there. I know that this particular visual novel is more of a yaoi story side. I think  if you were to cast a broader net adding a male protagonist to choose from and making the two females romanceable. I think you would definitely get more attention for crowdfunding. I know that's a lot of work but it's definitely a good story with good characters. The level of work for your female protagonist that you play through and the personalities that all of the characters had. I think if you gave more opportunity add male audience to the story. I believe it would definitely get more funding. Also if could have either protagonist that you don't play as then become a  romance path opportunity. A unique spin that's not really out there a lot of.

Hi been following long just the beginning of the series on episode 2 (part 2: Animation) of this series. The scripted is causing an error code.

############################################################################################
ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object <undefined>:

Variable <unknown_object>.direction(8, -2147483648) not set before reading it.
 at gml_GlobalScript_PlayerAnimateSprite (line 2) - var _cardinalDirection = round(direction/90);
############################################################################################
gml_GlobalScript_PlayerAnimateSprite (line 2)

I have written the code twice to make sure if the mistake was on my end, and every word matches the video. If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some understanding what going on. Anything would be helpful

So these are my thoughts when it comes to Paramedium . First and foremost I want to express what this game hits on very well and then the things that I feel could be better.

Obviously one of the greatest things that this game does deliver is the Aesthetics. I think it goes without saying AGL studios has amazing artistic talent and has stunning designs of characters. Atmosphere is delivered very well in this. Having good build-up creepy moments as well. Line of "wheels on the bus" is very haunting in my mind still. Dialogue between characters is entertaining and engaging. You even get attached to sub characters such as May ( for even how short of a time it play's). Which is an indicator that the writing is strong.

The things that I believe should be heavily considered for the new game would be some of the following:

1.) Two different Pathways instead of one 1 pathway in different perspective for investigations. In both 1 and 2 of Paramedium it's only really one story and I think that would be a missed opportunity not to have two different ways to explore the same story investigation. A good example of this I feel is in the Paramedium 2 were you go down to the murder lair. Both characters get capture and they have to escape villain. I think it would have been better to have one character be captured and the other character to be able to explore the spirits of the past of why they were there. It would help with replayability a lot. Also the sensibility of a too. One character feels more vulnerable trying to run away from the bad guy than the other character does.

2.) Having some sort of grade system would be good. Since the characters talk about that they have to take assignments that at a certain rank. It would be nice to see reward system of some sort a finding or doing certain things to up and lower your rank for opportunities for investigation missions. Making the player make tough decisions. Such as you would get a better grade if you took out May but you would lose the opportunity of finding out what that character is like if you didn't spare her. Stuff like that that could change the dynamic of your play and your choice having weight to them.

3.) Different game-play styles. I imagine this is already in the works but just in case I still want to touch on it. Characters having two separate playstyles. The gun having just a point and shoot. Versus some sort of click and drag for slashing attacks, and even a third one might be good. Just to change up the gameplay so you don't get too bored with one play style.

4.) Lastly would be different difficulty modes. For those that want to have more of a challenge I think there should be a normal and hard mode.
